At Cornell Design, we know only too well that experience counts. All of our Mechanical Designers are from a trade background and it’s that hands-on, practical approach to design that our customers know and expect from our staff to guarantee the best outcomes for their design projects. Cornell Design uses the latest equipment and software to deliver professional CAD services at the Client’s premises working as an integral part of their team.

To succeed at Cornell Design you will need a flexible attitude towards changing work environments and projects. In addition, you will need to be able to ‘hit the ground running in getting up to speed with Clients’ specific requirements and drawing standards. Professional presentation, punctuality and working well in a team are other essential attributes.

TRADE BACKGROUNDS

Applicants must have used in the workplace and be proficient in either Inventor or SolidWorks. More importantly, you will have a toolmaking, CNC machining or fabrication and welding trade background with at least 8 years experience post-trade.
